Martin Hagger, Professor of Psychology at Curtin University specializing in the areas of social, health, sport and exercise psychology, shares some of the mental preparation techniques that elite athletes use, the science behind why these techniques work, and how these techniques can be applied by competitive athletes and coaches to optimize their performances.
